Massage is a very personal experience and each person has their own expectations and desires. There are so many different types of massage, each with its own purpose. It is therefore imperative that you chose the correct treatment and communicate your needs and expectations to the therapist to ensure you leave satisfied. Massage does not need to be painful to be beneficial- a common belief. In essence it is equally important and effective when working slowly and firmly, encouraging relaxation and bringing fresh blood (oxygen and nutrients) to the affected area and allowing it to take away any toxins that have built up. |
